Sealants

Sealants are plastic coatings that protect your molars and pre-molars from decay. Dental sealants are placed on molars and pre-molars, which are located in the back of your mouth to protect them from plaque. Since these teeth have narrow grooves and fissures, they can be tricky to clean even with narrow toothbrush thistles. That is why plaque can accumulate there and cause decay.

We prevent that from happening by coating the back teeth with plastic known as sealants. You can rest assured that our sealants will protect your teeth no matter what you eat. Fluoride plays an important role in terms of preventing tooth decay and protecting the surface of the teeth. Good dental sealants work by providing extra protection for pitted and grooved areas. They do so by providing a smooth covering on the surface over the fissured area.
